12 MAY Karachi on fire

It has been 13 years since the 12 MAY tragedy, and those responsible have not been identified

It was not immediately clear which forces were behind the May 12 tragedy. Some activists were seen carrying Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) flags, while others carrying PPP and Awami National Party flags were seen setting fire to vehicles. Who is the last to play Holi of Fire and Blood ?

More than 50 people were killed in riots in Karachi on May 12, 2007. Even 13 years later, no significant progress has been made in these cases.
It is clear that no political party or its activists at least carry flags and besiege them, but the display of flags is proof that these elements were part of another conspiracy to politicize the issue. Keep trying
Everyone remembers the incident. On May 12, 2007, the lawyers' movement was at its peak. The then inactive Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was returning to Karachi on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Sindh High Court when the city was bathed in blood.

On the arrival of the deposed Chief Justice in Karachi, the workers of the opposition parties came out to greet him and in many places armed clashes broke out between the workers of the then government and the opposition parties.
Free use of weapons was seen on the city's highways, and 48 people, including lawyers, were killed in broad daylight on the city's streets.
More than 130 people were injured in the incidents, while dozens of vehicles and properties were also set on fire, after which seven murder cases were registered in different police stations in the city.

About two and a half years ago, the police filed challans in seven cases in the anti-terrorism courts, in which more than 55 accused, including the then interior adviser and current Karachi mayor Wasim Akhtar, have been named and all have been released on bail.
Referring to this date, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto in his statement said that dictatorship and terrorists together played bloody Holi in Karachi on May 12. He said that it is not possible to forget the tragedy of May 12, PPP workers said. Sacrificing his life for the independence of the judiciary, the PPP chairman said that the characters involved in May 12 are part of Imran Khan's government today, the federal government is supporting the characters involved in May 12.

After the May 12 tragedy, the PPP ruled for five years, then the PML-N completed five years, but the two governments could not take any action against the elements involved, and like many tragedies and events in Pakistan, May 12, 2007 In any case, the story of history will become old. No government is interested in investigating who benefited and who was harmed in such incidents and who could be the elements who benefited.
